The Man With The Sword In His Hand

Introduction:

If God were to die to night, what impact would that have on your life tomorrow? For most of us, tomorrow would be lived no differently that we lived today. For all of our praying, singing, preaching and teaching, most Christians live their daily lives as though God were dead…or at least so far away that He does not touch their activities of daily living. So little of what we see in our lives and even the activities of our churches cannot be explained by human ability and promotional activity.

But God is alive and He wants to be our life source…energizing every area of our life as we depend upon Him for everything. As He led Israel into the Promised Land, He wants to lead us into the resurrection life of Jesus, Who for us is the Promised Land.

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, we come before you in gratitude for the unspeakable gift of Your Son Jesus Christ who not only took away our sins, but brought us life! Give us the gifts of faith and surrender that we might live in the fullness of His resurrection and that as a church, we might always see Jesus as our life, our attitude, our goal and our strength. We ask this in His name, Amen.
